Messages for one steam account in family sharing.
I want to share a message with a person using the same steam account on other pc, like time when i want to play or something like that. That would be usefull.

You're not supposed to share your ACCOUNT with other people as per Section 1 C Steam Subscriber Agreement in the first place.

If you meant Family Library Sharing - why not contact them the usual way? Aren't they family, after all?

Note that Family Library Sharing is meant for sharing within a family, usually a common household, not with friends, nor strangers.

Pop your head into the room of the family member who's playing the game you want and tell them it's your time to play.

My uncle in other room sometimes want to play my games. Welp.
I meant Family Library Sharing.
I don't want to disturb other people in the house, shouting questions about like "Do you gonna play or you just watching something at your laptop without closing steam?"
Im not gonna stand up either for that.

What's wrong asking for one account messages?

That is for kin, not strangers or people you met at the parking lot ...

I know. Thanks.
Can't you send a message through your friends list? I'm not seeing the real difference.

-edit-
Ah I see I misunderstood. It's not two accounts under a family, but one account used by two people. In which case why not set family sharing? It eliminates the issue and allows you to both play at the same time.

If you want to send messages to your own account, you can create a group chat with someone, and then have that person leave the chat (or kick/ban them). Then only the original account will remain in the group chat (it won't close).

Ignore anyone who starts talking about how "sharing your account is not allowed" because they don't understand that that applies to sharing login information, and not merely allowing immediate family members to play games on your account in close proximity.

But to be honest, having family members make their own accounts and using the family sharing feature is the optimal solution anyway, as it's extremely convenient. Then you can chat with them normally as you would with any other Steam friends.

If they're in physical proximity to the person who is using their account, they could speak.

If they need some kind of mechanism to communicate with the person they're sharing their account with, they are absolutely violating the rule against account sharing.

There is no point as YOU are the only one allowed to use the account and you don't need to message yourself.

That feature is for the accountowners eyes only.
If you have a message for your uncle, send it to his account.

Some games require puzzle solutions for you to remember something from one area and use that information in another area. Instead of writing it down irl or opening Windows Notepad, now we have the feature within Steam itself.

I've used the Steam Overlay notes feature mostly in Oxygen Not Included, where I figure out where important things are in the map in sandbox mode, then leave myself vague notes about them so I can remember when I play through the map for real (because the existence or non-existence of something that gets randomly generated can hugely change the plan as to what I'm going to do in the game). I could use a regular text editor, but I play games on multiple computers and it's just more convenient to have it tied to the specific game.
