Average game play time

Okay so whenever I'm thinking about buying a game I always dive into the reviews to see what the average play time is of a game to see the entertainment amount you can expect to get on a game.
It would be nice to have this a bit more prominently shown. Maybe close to the average review score.
Not sure if it'll be a feature other people like but it'll give you an idea how long you'll be able to enjoy a product.
It'll be difficult for new releases though.

Would love to hear of this is just a me thing or of other would be interested in a feature like this.

Caring about playtime is completely pointless because 'playtime' isn't actually time spent playing the game. It's time spent having the game file open which means someone could have 500 hours clocked but really they only played it for 4 hours or so.

Playtime of others is mostly meaningless for me. Not entirely, I prefer negative reviews with shorter playtimes cause those are often from people who refunded. I want to know what made them stop playing and refund the game.

Other than that playtime has little value.

Also don't forget about offline mode and such. Mate of mine mostly plays in offline mode, most of their reviews are around 0,1-0,2 hours because of that.

GOG offers Howlongtobeat integration to give you the best estimates possible. Steam could as well but I do not expect them to.

Tracking games by hours is not useful data to me but it is for lots of other people so I understand, unlike many, that some changes or requests need not benefit me specifically.
