So the title is self explanatory. Would be nice if we had a global proton prefix option and that steam doesn't create a new prefix every time for a new game. We could use STEAM_COMPAT_DATA_PATH env variable, but it isn't a sustainable option every time. This would deduct the space used by new prefixes by a ton. Or make a per game default prefix, i.e. pressing properties on the game that there should be a chose the default proton prefix path.
