I want to be able to run CS2 without the use of steam.
No one here offered a viable solution. This to me shows the inability to cater to ideas for many.

So you want Steam to become like GOG and basically have nothing in term of AAA games in it?

CS2 and other games through valve should not be hosted by steam its a conflict of interest.
I want all my games to run wiuth out the steam client and this cant be done because valve wants ultimate control on your client. Fix this because I do not like any douche bag dev looking at my files.
Companies that make products often have their products in their own environment, sold in their own stores, accessible from their own software. This is nothing new.

They only look at your game-related files for signs of tampering with protected content, or signs of cheating.
Valve owns both steam and CS2, it is not possible to run cs2 without steam

LOL you are making excuses and arguments against my ideas this is not for you to decide.
If you want your games to not run using the Steam client, then you need to buy your games on platforms other than Steam.

Valve don't want "ultimate control" on what I assume you're referring to as being your PC. They just want to control their own platform, that they made, that's it.

I recommend you accept the situation as it is, because it isn't going to change, or stop using Steam altogether.

If you don't want people discussing your idea. Don't post it on discussion forum. Like, don't you have a blog or something?

Valve made CS2, they made Steam. Both programs are going to run in conjunction with each other. There is nothing you can do about this, nor will there ever be.

Just because you paid money, doesn't mean you get to determine how the service should function, especially if your suggestion isn't based in reality.
Valve made steam 2003 and it was ♥♥♥♥ then and now its ♥♥♥♥ now.

Then stop using the platform. But you're never going to be able to take your games with you, as the licenses you paid for are tied to your Steam account and cannot be transferred or resold.

Use another platform.

No one is forcing you to use or interact with the community.

No, it can't be done, because your game licenses are tied to your Steam account.

Valve aren't perfect, but if they have such a bad history, why have you been a member of Steam for 21 years?
Let me tell you this. Steam is very nasty.
