Hardware Survey Innacuracy - Detecting Wrong Amount of VRAM
I got the prompt for the hardware survey today on my system with an AMD Radeon RX 7800XT, a card with 16GB of VRAM.

However, the Steam hardware survey (which did detect the 7800XT aas my directX card), listed primary VRAM as "512MB." The Results of the hardware survey also suggest there has been an increase in the number of steam users with 512MB graphics cards, which most likely means this issue is occurring with other survey participants.

I suspect this may be related to the integrated graphics in my CPU, which is an AMD Ryzen 7 7700.
For other information I have 32GB of DRAM, and the Radeon driver version
25.10.13.01-250526a-416003C-AMD-Software-Adrenalin-Edition

I don't know if there's a better way of letting Valve know about this so they can make their surveys more accurate, doesn't really seem like a support issue.

I'm sure about 57,000 users have tripped over themselves to be first to tell Valve that the hardware survey isn't perfect, for each quirk discovered.

If only there were a board officially for posting that sort of information that Steam Support designates as an official place for such information, that is unfortunately camped by some non-Valve employees who feel a strange need to opine as though they were.
Valve knows about it because it was like this last month and people made many threads about it.
