Important Notices Regarding Chat Messages and Automated Bot Notifications on Steam
Steam-Users,

Recently, chat messages have appeared claiming that you can vote for Teams. Additionally, bots automatically contact Steam friends whenever you log into your Steam account.

Verdacht Webseite: (progaming23) (Attention)

Please stay cautious and avoid interacting with these messages or websites.

This is old news. Unfortunately, those who would need the warning only come around here once the "business" is done. :(

That is nothing new, you should always be cautious as soon as anyone contacts you about needing a player, in order to compete in a tournament ( or as in your case vote for a team ), and the only way for the bot to contact your friends as soon as you come online, would be if your pc is infected

Valve are letting 100's reported un moderated user groups chat rooms, allow 3- 4 chat bots to post phishing urls 24/7 for fake Twitch raffle items - Fake Steam gift cards sites.

2 weeks history of it shown in chat rooms logs.

For having RULES and CONDUCT about commercial advertising, engaging in fraud; and creating a false identity for the purpose of misleading others. spamming, Valve is negligent.

Sure old users probably block them - new unsuspecting users probably fall for it, and it's no hard to see why when such activity is allowed to continue in such excess.

Remove the link to the malicious website in your post. You're just helping them by advertising it further and making it possible for some curious user to get their accounts hijacked.
Hello, not everyone is aware of this. Out of my friends list, only three people had it, and I changed the link. Would Steam consider adding such websites or pages to the blocklist so that they can't be accessed through chat, or is that not possible?
This sub forum, is for suggestions and Ideas for valve to make to the Steam UI on the website, app, and client.
