Request NEW FILTER Options: Spyware, Scamware, IPTheftware, CryptoMiner, etc.
There is a terrible new trend happening with many well-known titles, Publishers, and Development teams: Adding methods in EULA's to FORCE anyone's system to become an ACCESSIBLE to these nefarious people, regardless of whom they are.

Many are not even AWARE that Adobe now has created RIGHTS to any and ALL content that you use in their Software. Period.

Furthermore, several titles of Borderlands now has access to ANY AND ALL content on your system by their CREATED RIGHTS in their EULA (End User Licensing Agreement, that is that pop-up no one ever reads yet it signs away ALL your LEGAL AND BINDING RIGHTS to anything YOU OWN to the Software Company whose App you use).

There are apparently CryptoMiner games now on Steam, Scamware, Microtransaction titles that 'lock CHILDREN' into stealing from their parents just to play their favorite games VIA Steam...

... and, there are zero lockouts for this on Steam that I can find in direct access to the Steam Store at all.

No warnings, no pop-ups for KNOWN issues...

... everyone has to read all the comments deeply, as some of that info even gets buried a few pages deep down down down... in those comment pages. Then, someone goes and gets the games, finds out this behavior, and well-lookie here now... so, there is a reason for that 'disatisfied' Steam Chart dislikes...

... but, Steam doesn't allow Gamers at all to see Tabs, Tags, any listed behavioral info until people just have to earn a Phd. in P-Socialsychology via reading and delving into sometimes hundreds of Gamer posted reviews to start to see some pattern of actual mis-behavior.

Why can we NOT Self-BAN a Publisher from our Personal Steam Library Views, have an Option to personally review or add to our 'ban page', and be able to update that on the fly with Text reasons as to why?

Steam:: This would give your Metrics Teams an AMAZING amount of useful information.

Yes, you already have each of us dialed down behaviorally on your Steam App. You see into our lives as much as Google and even more, even capturing our DM's and Voice chat...

... but, here, would be truly unique insight into why people specifically and to what degree people specifically and directly avoid Titles, Dev Teams, and/or even entire Publishers for truly evil practices against the Consumer on your platform.

If we can see that 'Stop Killing Games' can take hold eventually, why not also allow direct Feedback via clearly labeled and visible Gamer-Tags at top of page or top of Comment section, instead of just simply non-purchases AND 'post-purchase-angst'.

People already got ~stolen~ from, that 2 hour game window to ask for a refund simply is not enough time, in my opinion. (Optional topic: Refund Window should be based on some %-Percentage Metric of 'expected gameplay time for Average User', Example: Game has 100 hours expected/estimated Gameplay time, then 10% [Which seems far more reasonable to me, and since Steam is quite close to fully autonomic-automated to a great degree, is far fairer to the Gamers whom use this platform... rather... regiliously...] would be 10/hours gameplay crest to attain to.

Theaters will most often provide a full refund to Moviegoer's if they do not pass the Half-Way mark.

Why shouldn't a Gamer whom spends far far more finances invested into Steam (I would guess that the Average gamer probably puts in over 1000-2000 USD (average folks, we all know everything has a Bell Curve) in their lifetime in Steam) than any movie Genre overall.

It's simply the nature of how this market functions.

So, how do we improve this market instead of also letting it, also allowing it, through inaction to continue to decline? How about we provide quicker and easier to understand informative User-Generated Tags for Full Disclosure?

Why should so many people become 'willing suckers' on a Platform that is supposed to be for the end-users' fun and entertainment, yet: continually hosting various Software that we cannot 'warn other Gamers' of via Direct Top of Screen or at LEAST top of Comments Section Tags that describe bad Development and/or Publisher behaviors?

I just finished chatting with some folks on a chat server, whom played some game that got their kids trapped into finding ways to encourage those kids to 'steal money' to keep playing the game. I have no idea what the game was, I just entered the discussion and they were like: Steam's hosting it so we had no idea that could happen in a kids' game.

Come'on, Steam, we can do better as a Community.

Give us the Tools, we'll Self-Police, and that won't break your relationship with those Title Holders.

It'll let us make each-other safer for each and every title that we recommend or discourage.

I feel pretty certain that it's against Valves rules to implement any of those things into a game released on Steam

You can report said games on the store pages.
They are not going to make tags just for that. They would just remove the game.

Assuming any game was found to have such things

OP. Maybe stop regurgitating the nonsense you ghheard in some reddit thread. Example, that adobe one.. all that means is that means is that adobe reserves the rights to use your stuff to train it's AI. They don'rt own your stuff, and they can't reproduce your stuff.

As for self banning a puiblisher.. do you have any idea how useless that could be. A publisher is literaly a paper entity. It exists on paper only and new ones can be created, and names changed within an afternoon.....

As for crypto. Yeah As far as I know only EGS does that.
