Request for Regional Pricing Adjustment for Ivory Coast/West Africa
Hello to the entire Steam community and the Valve development team,

I am posting here a suggestion regarding Steam's regional pricing policy, particularly for players residing in Côte d'Ivoire.
Currently, it seems that our country is included in the United States pricing region, which means we have to pay the same prices for games as in the United States. However, the cost of living and purchasing power in Côte d'Ivoire are considerably different from those in the United States.

Many countries with comparable, or even higher, living standards than ours benefit from regional prices that are more adapted to their economies. Examples include Turkey, Brazil, Ukraine, South Africa, and North African countries. These regions have adjusted prices that make games more accessible to their population.

I would therefore like to submit the idea of re-evaluating the pricing region for Côte d'Ivoire. Aligning it with countries with a similar cost of living would allow more Ivorian players to enjoy the Steam platform and would potentially encourage an increase in sales in our region.

I sincerely believe that an adjustment of regional prices for Côte d'Ivoire would significantly improve the Steam experience for many players and make the platform fairer for everyone.
Thank you for your attention and consideration. I hope this suggestion will be of interest.

Sincerely,
< >

Your currency is of little worth at this point in time. Developers and Valve would like to ensure their employees are housed and fed.

Request denied.

What a constructive contribution! Thanks for the 'up' anyway

"Request denied?" You ain't a Valve employee, bub, nor do you decide which suggestions get in.

Just wanted to quote this, in case I need it for future reference, as there are several in this forum who would disagree.

I just speak the simple truths. Just like those from Türkiye who complain about it as well.

Worthless currency is worthless, and it's no one else's job nor responsibility to subsidize a worthless currency.
