Make Contacting Support Easier
TLDR; Steam needs a direct "contact support" button that gets sent to a base level support team, that can forward the message to whatever relevant department needs to see it. Instead of only offering to contact support when their "FAQ" page doesn't have the answer.

When you're on the "Help > Steam Support" Page of Steam, there needs to be a button at the very bottom that's just "Contact Steam Support", jumping through little buttons until you find one that let's you write to Steam, is annoying and obviously intentionally designed to prevent people from contacting support.

You're a multi-billion dollar company, pay for more support if customer complaint volume is a problem. It's not like you don't have the damn money.

I get why you have the funneling, but the truth is if I wanna contact you, whether you think it's legit or not, I'll just click through any prompt until I get a "contact support" button, then I'll say "Hey, this isn't the right area but you're gonna transfer me to whatever department handles XYZ issue"

It's the same way I smash 0 on the telephone until I'm talking to a person when I call a company. Then I say "IDK what department this is, but you need to transfer me to the one that deals with my XYZ issue I'm having." then the operator is annoyed but says "Okay sure, hold please." and then, like magic, you're talking to who you need to be.

I get it, customers are super annoying and usually the worst part of owning any business is dealing with them when they're unhappy, but honestly Steam, get your ♥♥♥♥ together and stop trying hide from your customers when you ♥♥♥♥ up.

It should be a crime, punishable by jailtime for the CEO's of companies if they don't have a 'contact us' line, that's easily accessible for customers.

It's already incredibly easy to contact support. Either go to 'Help' - 'Steam Support' or Google 'Steam Support contact'. Both those options take 5 seconds or less to access.

Web searching "contact steam support" only shows me a bunch of forum posts about how it's obtuse to contact support. I sifted through 3 pages and never saw an official "contact support" page for Steam in the results.

Steam needs to make sure that the proper web page pops up when someone searches for that. SEO is dirt cheap and easy AF. Steam makes plenty of money to make sure this happens.

they do not have departments to transfer you too....

Steam support handles User Account issues ONLY.. They do not offer tech support for games or the steam app, client, or website issues. Those are handled in a steam sub-forum.

They do not handle forum issues or problems. Valve Moderation team handles that. They only work on reported threads and reported posts.
If you're not finding your way around contacting support for your particular issue there's a good chance that issue isn't one Support can help with.

Under which they can file a manual ticket, no? Though there's a good chance it's an issue the forums could resolve.

They have phone numbers, but they immediately hang up the moment these numbers were called.

Steam support is ONLY via the Steam Support Ticket system. No other ways of contact. Email and any phone numbers is for internal use only.

It is certainly very strange that the help button in the Steam app can never provide you a means to get assistance with errors encountered within the Steam app.

Do they have actual human behind support? Very doubtful.
Yeah something needs to be done with Support. I just got a reply after....one month, where they had to apologize the ticket being "misplaced". How does one "misplace" a ticket?

This place needs MASS change.

This, if your issue isn't listed its pointless to contact steam support.

What was your issue OP that you couldn't figure out how to contact them?

Yes.

Also, scripted responses doesn't mean bot response.

Scripted responses is still bot responses. You do not seem to have valid reason.

With hundreds of thousands of support request, it is not possible to type out personalized responses to each.
