Stop locking threads after reporting harassment and thread derailment.
I'm tired of moderators misinterpreting multiple reports of personal attacks and trolling as "lock this thread because we can't do anything to save it".

Unfortunately, Valve moderator abuse their power how ever they please and will not give explanation either.
No, the moderators are completely correct to lock the threads.
There is nothing wrong with making another thread in that case.

That is wrong, actually. How else do reports against users who violate ToS do not receive sufficient punishment?

That would be incorrect, fortunately users such as myself who are very familiar with the rules are available to help users who are less familiar with them. If you read the rules here - https://steamhost.cn/help_steampowered_com/en/faqs/view/6862-8119-C23E-EA7B

It specifically tells you that re-posting closed content is not allowed. The content must be different, contain new information, new suggesteions, etc to be allowed. Reposting the exact same content is not allowed

I've even asked this of support in the past and they have confirmed reposting the exact same thread is not allowed, but re-posting a similar thread with new ideas or suggestions IS allowed.

I get it. No need to end every single post of yours with “Best of luck, blocked, etc.”
That is a large chunk of his post history. Often times he will just reply with “Best of luck, blocked, etc.” and nothing else, which is quite frankly just spam. The account does not even belong to a paying customer. If it were up to me the account would be permanently banned for the constant spam.
I have often had to correct him on his misunderstandings of Valve policy or the posts to which he replies too. it is a very strange habit.

That is correct.

Actually it’s the opposite. Most of the time we’re the ones correcting you, and this thread is just another example of that, despite how much you like to pretend otherwise.

Just be aware mods could take an issue with someone doing that.
Examples of off-topic content include:

Re-posting closed, modified or deleted content

They could in theory. We have seen many instances on this very board where they literally do not and have not, and I know you have seen a couple of them yourself. If your topic was closed because it violated the rules, then of course you should not repost it. If your topic was derailed by a group of malcontents and spun off topic AND you are remaking it to focus on the proper topic and not smarting over the arguments in the last thread, you should be fine. It often takes evidence from experiments to understand what Valve intends by the rules after all; you are correct to observe this is a point of ambiguity. Observing what Valve does and has done is just as important as the rules themselves.

That sounds like context... Let's see how mods deal with that.

We both know that's not what happens most of the time a thread is reposted.

I've literally asked support and they have said remaking the exact thread is against the rules.

It's only allowed if you have new things to contribute to it

I was unaware I was being watched that closely, perhaps they should utilize the block feature or simply stop viewing my blocked posts, though I'm fine with which every they choose has no effect on me though I cannot say the same for them from the looks of that quote.

Nah, he tends to say that in regards to anyone who actually corrects his misunderstandings of how things actually work with facts. It’s not just you.

You don't have wait to see. Several past examples exist.
