Gabe, please read
Dear Gabe,

As a loyal Steam user, military veteran, and creative spirit—I’m reaching out with a serious concern shared by many in the gaming and artistic community:

The rising censorship by payment processors like Visa and MasterCard is hurting freedom of expression, indie developers, and the open digital marketplace.
They are quietly deciding what people can buy, who can get paid, and what kind of art deserves to exist—all without democratic oversight.

Steam has always stood for creative freedom.
But now, it’s time for Valve to take the next step: create an independent payment solution—“SteamPay” or similar—that bypasses these financial gatekeepers.

This would:

Protect developers, artists, and modders from being financially silenced.

Allow users like me to buy what we want, without being policed by financial institutions.

Empower Valve as a leader in free digital commerce—just like Japan did with JCB and crypto-forward thinking.

You’ve changed the gaming world before. Now we’re asking you to help protect its future.

We’re building a movement. And it starts here—with you.

Signed,
A gamer, a soldier, a father, a freedom-lover.
Jose Burgos

Gabe should also hire real moderator and better customer support, though it would seem that Gabe does not read Steam forums.

I think it's a good change, less trash in the store.

Not missing these cringy adult games.
Nobody from Steam's development and legal team (for policies) monitors the Steam community forums. The only people who do are the forum police and they only respond to user reports.

If you're unhappy with any policy in place by a service, then the recommendation is to stop using that service immediately and delete any account(s) you have with it. If a user continues to use the service, that means they agree with all the policies and are happy with the service.
Gabe is probably very worried because of everything that has happened............

Well, they should at least put in writing and request a refund for all the games in their account before closing it.

If in fact Customer Service says they cannot or refuse, the user can then have in writing he using the account ONLY of the fact he cannot get redress for his issue and can possibly lose hundreds or thousands of dollars.

That can be helpful in one, putting the matter in writing that he does want to end his account, and is not happy with the service. And is only keeping it due to the monies invested.

And two, if matters happen in the future he can go back to that (that he should save) to at least say he tried to do something.

Which is to say if there is a Class Action, Steam cannot use his silence as a way to say he was "happy" with the service or accepted it.

I'm NOT saying that will or will not happen. I'm just saying, a post here (and you are correct) won't do much, but a proper request to Customer Services is a CYA for the user.
