No it wouldn't. A lot of the spam bots are hijacked accounts.

there is a non-zero amount of troll accounts on the forums that are limited accounts. there are certain users that are well known for having dozens of limited accounts. now yes if you are talking about bots that are just reposting phishing websites those are usually hijacked accounts, but i am talking about accounts that are created specifically to break the rules on the forums because there is zero consequence for doing so when you can create a basically unlimited amount of free accounts and keep posting

They're basically restricted to just the general forums anyway. And their post limit is quite low already.

The more they spread, the less they can post everywhere.

The vast amount of spamming going on is from hijacked non-limited accounts, especially today.

I've reported at least 68 today alone that were spamming porn and malicious links.
