flagged as potential fraud for trying to gift games
Hey, I just got flagged for suspicious activity regarding buying games. Since there are regional restrictions, and I have no idea to know which games are restricted before I try to pay for it, I got flagged for suspicious repeated attempts to buy stuff.

It's annoying enough to have to manually check every games, but being blocked from buying them on top of it is rather irritating, to say the least.

Is there any way to check for regional restrictions without blocking my purchase options?

just send the person a digital steam gift card in the amount needed for said "Game" you want to send.

Are you buying games, or are you gifting games? Because your title does not say the same thing as the subject of your post. If you are buying games, you would not be able to view the store page of the game if it is restricted in your area, nor do I think the purchase button is active should you find a way around that.

If you are attempting to gift games to other people who are in different regions to your own, there are several different types of restrictions on that, and the method you use for payment. Stop trying to gift games to others who are in regions where any restrictions probably will apply - like Russia or Germany.

You can use steamdb.info to check the prices across all of the regions. If you have it set for your own currency, the site will show you the equivalent difference in percentage in the other regions. More than 10% difference and you'll be prevented.

By the way, it's not a fraud suspicion as much as it's a rate limiting function to keep people from flooding the checkout process and preventing it from working for everyone else. I trigger it from time to time. I just walk away for a couple hours to let the cooldown expire and I'm good to go.
thanks rawWwRrr, that's exactly what I was looking for.
it would be great if it could be mentioned in the FAQ about gifting

Are you buying games from outside of your region?

And when you say repeated attempts, you mean you tried, hit a brick wall, and then tried again, over and over.... ?
