Don't censor our games
As a long term steam user, seeing the TOS bend to the whims of payment providers sets a terrible precedent going forward, and raises concerns of if games featuring non-corporate safe content will be removed from steam in the future. I understand that their hand is kind of forced due to the innate power payment processors hold, but I believe that most of the steam userbase would much prefer alternative solutions like acceptance of crypto currency or a Valve brand payment processor then the current scenario. Many options are available, but the avenue steam is choosing at the moment is very displeasing

Most of steams userbase is entirely dependent on MC/Visa since most banks work with them.

Many of the "alternatives" people talk about still use MC/Visa

America is a country of middlemen now, not a country of creators, innovators, or leaders. Bowing to the censorious and totally arbitrary whims of the middleman is unavoidable in such an environment. Steam cannot fight them because they control essentially all commerce and wrote the rules such that escape and competition are impossible.

I'm in favor of using steam cards , which we can purchase using a credit card cause we are buying other stuff groceries auto parts ect . Send a letter to Visa/Mastercard and tell them to screw off you will no longer be accepting them as a payment , they will cave before you do - that's how they stay in business , DO NOT CAVE TO THE PROCESSORS - let's face it Valve allowing 3rd party launchers on the platform don't receive most of in game purchases anyway , warframe I buy stuff on their website , GTA online all on rockstar launcher , Ubisoft I use their website and launcher .

Friendly reminder that those payment processors got a club that is quite a hell of a lot bigger than Valve in this situation.

Steam gets around 90% of its revenue from Visa/MC with purchases, Visa/MC on the other hand get a fraction of a percent of their revenue from Steam.

So Visa/MC won't cave anytime soon. If you want to make them cave then stop using them in protest and watch what happens.
