Steam should do a big sale on adult content
I think it would be hilarious if steam fought back and started an adult content sale. I have no intention of playing any of those games but I would buy some just to fight for the cause.

If this has been authored before, sorry. Just had the thought.

that would be up to the publisher not steam

They should just get rid of all the adult content as smut has no place on a family friendly platform and neither do the people that it attracts.

I'm sure that Valve employees are older than 15, so they do not have the need to be edgelords and do silly stuff just to provoke.

Sorry, the idea is stupid imo.

100% agreeing. There are so many other places where they can sell/buy the trash.

I was thinking about this actually.

These sale events are actually put on by publishers, save for the big seasonal sales. That would be rad if some of the bigger adult games publishers like Shady Corner Games put together a "Stop Censorship Sale", with a ton of adult games on discount. Might help drum up more awareness.
This but on GOG since they’ve done that sort of sale theme before.

Valve most likely would not approve of this type sales event.

You know, don't stir the pot.

Valve's sales are announced a year in advance. If you want to rally some game developers together to run a sale, you can do so much faster.

And I don't think Valve is going to run a Steam fest that they can't post about on YouTube or show to everyone on the front page of the store. That sounds like a marketing disaster waiting to happen.

I disagree. There are lots of amazing games that contain nudity such as Witcher 3. So banning all games that contain adult content is not beneficial to Steam, its community, Publishers or Game Developers.

If you do not want to see NSFW content, you should not have enabled it on your account.

Steam did have adult theme sale already, but guess you didn't hear about that.

The one in May presented by a 3rd party, Eternal Alice Studio?

In that case they should get rid of all the games which have crime, violence for example.
The reminder to use your filters properly if you don't want to see this sale event.

This is a gaming platform, not a babysitter.
