Dear Steam Support,

i would like to request a small but potentially impactful feature, that may greatly improve the user experience for players that mod extensively.

With the raising popularity of modding supported both by the Steam Workshop and increasingly accessible tools like AI, i think Steam could benefit from a simple functionality of setting Workshop Updates to "Manual".

Why this would help: Even tiny changes in one mod can completely, and often irreversibly break either one save, or the whole game, with new incompatibilities between mods.
Allowing to set up "Manual workshop updates" (or at least pausing all of the workshop updates), would let us to choose if, when, and what to update, helping avoid unexpected issues.

I understand that this would affect only a smaller percentage of players, but I believe it would be relatively low-effort to implement compared to other potential solutions, such as mod versioning, while resolving the same issue.
