Disable friends requests
for some reason, my account is targetted for a lot of scammers, they just sending friends requests. So annoying. I think it would be so helpful to decrease scammer incidents, also this function would be useful for streamers

This is victim-blaming. Basically the Steam equivalent of "you should've worn a sweater and not gone out in the evening if you didn't want to be assaulted."

I agree with the OP, some kind of friend request filter would be nice, including options to limit by account age/level and disabling incoming invites entirely.
While privating your inventory would be the immediate solution. I wouldn't mind an option to disable friend requests.

NO, this's not a option. I targetted by one scammer and he doing this because I know his strategy. Previosly, I reported his domains, so he doing this only for make some activity in his fake profiles. It means if my inventory will be private he would still send me friend requests

bots do not target profiles they find unworthy. By making your inventory private, you make it difficult for the bot to judge your worthiness.

It's an immediate solution because i doubt Valve will permit the disabling of friend request this fast. Else it would have been added years ago.

I will say it again: Im targeting by THE SAME PERSON, NOT ACCIDENTLY. He doing it FOR ACTIVITY, NOT FOR ITEMS.
And why I HAVE TO make my profile private because some strange guy (ONE GUY) send my friend requests?? This is why Im here, to suggest new feature. Other people may use it for other purposes.

So, the guy is making multiple accounts to flood you with friend request?

if you go to steam>settings>notifications there's a toggle to disable notifications for friend invitations

me, other guys, then scam definitely other guys. If someone will see active profile it means bigger chance to scam someone, because wouldn't determine scam bot account

If a single individual is bypassing your block by creating multiple account to add you. Wouldn't that fall under harassment? Maybe you should hit support about this with the evidence you got.

I'm being targeted in the same manner as you are, so far by dozens of accounts:

My case:
  • these are all old accounts like at least 10-15 years old
  • they are at least level 10 or higher
  • they have some playtime and various details/artwork in their profile page
  • inventories are pretty much empty
  • most of the times, if added, they do not speak

Based on my general knowledge, they are after someone's acc/inventory. They stay silent in the dark/while being your friends, you forget about them, then they ask you for various things or change their name similar to one of your friends and send phishing links etc.

I just made my account completely private (including inventory), but I still get requests.

Steam Support Ticket
Just a few minutes ago I had a ticket closed by Steam support where I reported all these accounts - which I already previously reported through their Profile > More > Report Player.
The conclusion was that they will investigate if something malicious happened.

Well, that's pretty clear already. Nothing malicious happened because I DIDN'T ALLOWED IT.

I simply asked that an investigation is launched into this particular scammer, as most likely he shared the same IP on all accounts, at least for some of the GET requests he made.
Unfortunately, I wasn't entertained with a proper answer in this regard.

Current Alternatives?
I understand there's a 3rd party tool called SIH which allows to ignore requests based on certain criteria, like level. However, that is not ideal in my case as I'm quite a social person and I do like to interact with normal folks, and this tool could also block genuine friendship requests.
