Report a translation problem
Their response was that the list of locations comes from a third-party source (FIPS) and that they can’t manually modify it.
This is misleading.
FIPS only includes countries and administrative regions, not cities or towns.
Meanwhile, Steam clearly includes many tiny settlements, so there must be some level of internal control or curation.
On top of that, the ticket was auto-closed, and they explicitly said I wouldn’t receive any follow-up.
So basically there’s no channel to report this kind of issue in a meaningful way.
That’s why I’m posting here now — because this is no longer a personal complaint, but a systemic flaw in how Steam handles location data.
