You probably don't know your friend like you think you do. Its likely not their thing.
Find someone else.
OR...
Just play it a lot and see if they join in or have questions/interest. And THEN you hit them with with the invite.

Just use the Would you recommend Game , any friends interested would see it.

I agree that this would make it easier. I often see some obscure game that I know one of my family or friends might like. I copy the name of the game or a URL in the store and message it to them.
