The vast majority of free games do not have f2p / free as a tag as it's not really a genre.
And also, as you correctly pointed out, games are constantly being mislabelled.
f2p games are often the ones containing the most predatory practices too so I'd rather just blanket ban them from my personal field of view
either way, I think this is a feature that would require minimal effort to implement (speaking as a dev) + a feature that many would appreciate
