I wanted to bring up something that bothers a lot of us: when someone gives you an award using Steam Points, you only receive 50% of the points spent.

For example, if someone sends you the "Take My Points" award (1200 points), you only get 600 points. This feels unfair — the award giver already spent their points (which were earned by spending real money), and the receiver only gets half.

I think Valve should consider reducing their cut to 20–30% instead of 50%, so that creators and community contributors feel more rewarded.

I propose! Let's all be proactive together and try to call on Valve to at least consider answering why they are taking so much, or we will achieve our goal, because this has gone too far, people are spending much more than we receive, it's not fair!!!

Who is making you give awards? You could keep them all to yourself and spend every point you receive.
