please bring Area 51 (2005) to Steam
a cult classic and forgotten gem of the sci-fi FPS genre, Area 51 (2005) blended creepy atmosphere, peak gameplay, and iconic voice acting from David Duchovny and Marilyn Manson. it was truly a game of its time and absolutely worth reliving by today’s standards.
sadly, this game is not available on any digital storefront today, but there's still a strong fanbase out there. community projects like Project Dreamland and preservation builds have kept it alive, and there’s renewed interest in retro shooters.
please consider working with Warner Bros (the likely rights holder) to re-release Area 51 on Steam, either as a restored version or via a studio like Nightdive.

anyone else who wants this, upvote and reply to show support.

Sorry, your in the wrong forum, This is a STEAM related sub-forum, to discuss Ideas and suggestions for valve to make to the steam User Interface on the App, client and website and the online steam services.

This forum has nothing to do with game related suggestions, or questions etc. Steam does not go out looking for games to add to the steam store. You need to contact the IP holder, game publisher, or developer directly. Those owners ask steam to sell the games.

You'll need to contact whoever owns the IP of the game and insist they bring it to Steam. Steam can't just upload/publish games without the IP holder's permission.

Also, this section is not for game recommendations.
Bring it up with whoever owns that IP.
thanks for letting me know, also figured it was worth sharing here in case others were interested too.
Would be neat but you need the IP holder to bring it here. Or for them to allow someone to do it on their behalf.

where is the upvote function?
They released Area 51 for free if memory serves. You can still download it and some fan patches to get it running.

This is not a board that handles suggestions for games to add to Steam though
Good luck, midway went bankrupt in 2010
