Show when sales end in the wishlist & cart.
Was about to buy guilty gear +r & blazblue cf but didn't know when the sale was ending as I assumed it was going to end at the same time as stuff like the street fighter sale.

Being able to see when a sale ends without going to the game page would be very appreciated, I don't got the time or willpower to check and memorize when each & every individual game's sale ends.

This would be a great feature, agreed. Even Fanatical (a key site) has it for items in cart.

Not sure what you mean by "was about to buy" but then you didn't? If you were going to buy it on sale, then why didn't you buy it when it went on sale?

Not that your idea doesn't have merit, but I'm a little confused on your reasoning.
If you put something into your cart it is because you intend to imminently buy it. If something is sitting in there for so long that it's deal is no longer valid, that is something that is only your fault.

The world does not exist in a stasis when you aren't actively there.
"The regulars here are unable to imagine the possibility of a situation where someone is interested in buying something but does not rush to do so immediately." is probably one of the best explainers for this board's culture I have ever seen.

the request is to simply have the sales timer in the cart, it's not like the op is asking to have the sale timer to be permanent while it's inside the cart

The sales timer already exists and is obvious on any affected game's page. If you put a game into your cart and DON'T read the large text telling you that it is on sale until tuesday, that is your fault.

It currently does show in the wishlists and on store page. You can also subscribe to a email newsletter from steam for sales reminder or your games in wishlist on sale.

This suggestion is moot as the figure is already there.

It does not show on my wishlist.

I am glad to see people here come around to the idea that Valve should forego FOMO advertising even if it costs them sales to do so. As is usual, my opinions are usually the board's just a few months in advance.

Do be quiet William, no one cares what junk you're talking on this given day.

This. Part of their issue too was assuming the sale time for one game was the same as another and as they stated are aware they can check the store page for the sale time.

sure, but there is also no negative to showing it in the cart as well as on the wishlist. especially on the wishlist. you can argue it's more pointless in the cart, but it would definitely be nice on the wishlist

When you put something into your cart it is because you intend to imminently purchase it. Full stop. There is nothing else to it, the cart is there for things that you are about to buy, right now.

If you want to keep things around to look at for happy feelings, you have a wishlist.

Such a strange take to have about the cart as Valve clearly does not agree. They just recently changed the cart to hold items from one session to another over a longer period of time.

That change was fairly recent and has resulted in a situation where this display would be a value add.
