Steam Authentificator

Hello, I apologize for disturbing you, I know how many requests you receive per day, how many problems, etc... However, my problem is as follows... the Steam Guard mobile authenticator. After the update when you decided that we could no longer log out of the mobile application with the authenticator active, I believe you made a big mistake. The fact that we can only log out of the app by removing the mobile authenticator leads to extremely high battery consumption on mobile phones. Why? Because the app, being logged in, consumes battery trying to refresh. And this despite all the restrictions applied to the app from battery settings... The previous version, where we could log out while keeping the authenticator active on the account, was the best option. The Battle Net app, for example, is the best example! Please add an option to log out of the app while still keeping the authenticator. Not to mention that there is no longer any widget for the Steam application.... Neither with the Steam Guard code, as it was before, nor with news or offers, etc...

There is no need to remove the app.

Click on your profile picture on the app and at the very bottom it has Sign Out

I got accounts I can't login to because support told me to get my counter strike 1.6 steam CD key from 25 years ago.

How to Sign Out of Steam Account on Mobile

To sign out of your Steam account on mobile, follow these steps:

It sucks, yeah.

At least now it doesn't eat through my battery and burn a hole in my hands.

close the app, boom no battery used, not genius work.

I have had the app on this particular phone for a couple of years and battery usage of the app has never been a concern as the app sleeps if open and in the background and barely refreshes. you can also turn off background refresh if needed.

just rechecked mine and the battery usage over a 4 day period is 2%, to put that into comparison my email client that i rarely use has used 15% in 4 days and youtube i do use lol is at 37%, the highest user of battery power is (shock) the screen.
