Limit emails from Steam to really genuine emails.
To help reduce needless emails and spam, would be a good idea to limit what emails Steam can send to you.
We don't need "gamename is now available" or "gamename on your wishlist is now on sale".
I recently had to purge hundreds of those from my Thunderbird client which had wishlist notificatons from as far back as 2011.

Notify us of those through the steam client or website notification system along with the ability to disable them in the settings if we desire.

Possible only to send receipts or notification of activation of games or content and any account activity or actions.

click steam -> settings
click account details -> manage email preferences

Email clients almost always have some kind of filter system where you could direct all those emails to a single folder just for them. Makes it a lot easier to keep things sorted when the system does it for you.

Oh my gosh. I'm so stupid. I did look in the settings and only saw notification settings.
