Portal 1 workshop...?
I know it sounds a bit of a long shot since portal 2 workshop was brought out but I was wondering if valve would create a workshop for portal 1 mappers, instead of mappers uploading their maps to silly portal map websites. Portal 2 has a placememnt for a workshop.. why not Portal 1?

Same reason L4D1 doesn't have a workshop.
It's outdated and not worth the effort.
If Portal 1 were to get a workshop, it would've gotten it before 2 did.

2007, actually.
Besides, there isn't enough to warrent a workshop for it.
After all, it's not like you see one for the original L4D, either.
