+1 i think this should be put in, gift background, cards, and the hole lot that can be traded.

The nice thing about gifting things is that I can send things to my friends in different time zones or who work irregular shift patterns without either of us having to be online at a time we wouldn't normally be. It's not an imperative function, it'd just be nice.

You could actually send all that offline through trade offers (I call it offline trading)

-> Inventory -> Trade Offers -> New Trade Offer -> Select Recipient -> Shove Items -> Send.

Then next time they come on they'll see all the items you've given them without requesting any and that's essentially a gift.

Ah. Cool. I didn't know you could do that. Is that a recent addition or has that been in as long as the trade system?
