If you care enough about headphones to ask for recommendations, the best choice is usually to buy entry level audiophile headphones and attach a mic to them. You can them surprisingly cheap on sale.

The Blackshark got a pretty good mic imo. But, it's rather bland in term of sound quality. It's good but nothing to write home about.

I happen to own one. It's a good headset. But, you get what you pay for.

I suggest the HS70's if you can put another $30 into it.

agree I would go with the AKG K52[www.amazon.com] and a lapel mic[www.amazon.com] you can clip to the wire or on your shirt , not too bad for a hair over $46 said and done...

I'm using Steelseries Arctis 1 , for such price it's quite good

Get a set of Senheisser HD 560s open backs. They are reference headphones for mixing and such. They won't cut out background noise though. Add in a "Rode Go" lavalier mic with a 3.5mm mic connection for audio device free mic.

I would avoid anything labelled as either "built for gamers" or "audiophile" as these descriptors are generally used to charge a premium for something that isn't much better than a decent set of studio headphones.

In my region the HD 560s are about £40-50 cheaper than the 599.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
