I remember the Logitech was doing something similar so I took control, and ownership, over the GHUB app as Administrator, also did the same thing with Nvidia as well, took total control over all the folders but that was something way different.

As Adminstrator, attempt to take full control and ownership over the app and see if that helps, but as always, remember what you change so you can reverse engineer what you did.

or set the exe to run as administrator
file properties, compatibility tab

Right click .exe, choose run as administrator.
