Other than triggering a firmware bug, there isn't much the stornvme.sys driver can do to the SSD without getting into management modes.
gg win 10-11 users
a Windows update bricking your SSD is quite a big deal, i wouldn't dismiss that just because "it doesn't happen to everyone"
help???
What a time in the life for Microsoft.
I would also like to ask if this pertains to the Samsung 990 Pro Plus or the newer 990 Pro?
And does this pertain to using it as a storage drive and/or an OS-only drive?
Luckily, I saw this before purchasing that 4TB 990 Pro I saw on sale last night.
but how is the problem solved in windows 11???
:-)
i have no m.2 ssd, but i had one. my oldschool ssd is ok. can somebody buy a m.2 for using windows 11 in the nearer future?
anyway:
