Constant Blue Screens (help!)
I have fully updated bios with I9 14900k, a lot of RAM, a 4090 graphic card, and a ton of blue screens of death that frustrate me 24/7.
I don't see overheating on a CPU. I did a full memtest86 scan and I got a pass.
Many say that XMP I needs to be checked in BIOS, but the system is not going up when I do it, so I reverse it.
My motherboard is Z790-E WIFI, updated to the last bios update.

Guys, I have no freaking idea what's wrong. Is it a processor? Thank you for every effort to help me fix this issue. This has been going on for too long. PC is great and strong and I bought it for Vegas Pro editing and gaming.
From the morning, I got at least 5 blue screens and I finally surrendered: I didn't know what to do anymore. Please, help.

Thanks

The reason I asked is Gpuz shows V2801 from 2024 and when I looked I found Latest was 3001 from May 2025 and no bios update from 2024 at all. But I guess your sure so no need to check.

Update it back to the previous version.

psu, brand/model/age?

post a cpuz validation link
http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
cpuz -> validate button -> submit button
it will open a browser, copy the url (address) and paste it here

try resetting bios to defaults, if that works enable xmp
but if using 4 dimms, xmp profile may not work

If I do it it will be worse. It was way worse with sudden restarts and blue screens. Now, I can play games without crashing, but apps are breaking and browsers are crashing.

Here it is: https://valid.x86.fr/dh9xcw

XMP still break the system: It won't boot.
DDR5 is harder to stabilize, so you often need to reduce DIMM count (or ranks) or frequency. I'm guessing by "a lot of RAM", you're running four DIMMs, so not being stable at XMP isn't unusual.

That actually gets us past having to ask you to disable it for troubleshooting since you were already running it with it disabled.

At this point, you need to look at the dump files of the BSODs to see what the issue is.

You may have a degraded CPU, but you need to look further into it before jumping to that conclusion.

Might also be worth trying to go back to 566.36 drivers if you're on something later. nVidia's 57x.xx drivers have some severe issues, and crashing, BSODS, Black screens, and reduced performance are among them.

cpuz shows 2 dimms
should be able to hit its xmp profile

KF560C36-32, im guessing its 5600 cl36 32g dimms
not very fast ram to begin with tho

make sure they are in the same colored slots farthest from the cpu socket

If XMPis what holds it up then return tbat RAM and buy different RAM.

Look at Crucial or TeamGroup DDR5 6000 CL30

probably needs a bios upgrade. they usually fix problems like this.

i would DDU your gpu drivers also turn on intel base settings in bios if you
havent already.also turn on xmp also try turning on and off turbo in bios
and see if theres any improvement.

if its not stable at xmp with that ram, it may be the cpus imc
rma the cpu to intel, they extended the warranty on those

the load defaults option near exit. pick that in bios. see if it works.

Of course, I tried that many times and it won't work.

I have trouble with Vegas Pro 22, which constantly crashes. Browsers are crashing, programs are crashing. Sometimes I feel like taking a baseball bat and breaking the whole PC. I have ZERO idea what is causing the problem, as nothing is heating, and everything seems fine.

I have fully updated bios with the last one that they offer on Asus site.

Thank you for advice, I suspect that problem is in memory ram, since some memory pop up error
jumps up right after I click restart button(I'll try to take a pic of it).

Well what does the crash dump say when you have a BSOD, if you upload and link some of the critical error reports I'll have a look at them and should be able to start narrowing things down.

C:\Windows\Minidump or C:\Windows file named MEMORY.DMP

If it's not leaving .dmp files then that is bad RAM or bad C: Drive and it's not creating a .dmp because one or the other can't from crapping out, in most cases.
it could be your sound card. i have experienced a lot of sound card related crashes myself. what is your sound card?
