Need a Windows key
I've just ordered the parts for my pc and I'm wondering we're I buy a cheap windows key without risking malware, personal information theft, etc.

os keys cant contain malware

there are sites selling them for around $10, most will take paypal, which uses their auth so its safe

Anywhere, and probably the same place you got the parts from. A key btw is just a code that you'll type in. That means it can't possibly contain any malware.

And you don't need the key during installation. Windows will install and run just fine without one albeit with a nag overlay and some cosmetic customization turned off. You can get the rig built and running, benchmarked, etc. then register it later.

you dont need the key during the install
you can enter it whenever, you just get a watermark without one
