Dual monitor video output
I only use my other display to watch videos while playing certain games. So Im wondering if by plugging in my second monitor to my MB I could lighten the load on my GPU. Is that possible or am I just talking crazy?

just use the dedicated gpu outputs

the extra load for a secondary display is nothing
and when you do move something gpu demanding to it, the gpu has more than enough to run it without struggling

Third monitor adds more for some reason vs 2nd monitor.

*Shakes head*... First, as you know, that is strictly speaking, impossible.

Second, imagine watching videos while watching videos. If you would want to watch something else, then I can't understand how a game could be worth playing in the first place.

Back ground noise. Watch and listen to multiple items all the time.

People do it all the time for walkthroughs, all collectibles or when they are grinding/farming in an RPG game and listen to a podcast.

I've thought about setting up a DP daisy chain dual monitor setup, but ultimately decided to spend my disposable income on new GPU.

I mostly put on a podcast in the background while playing Minecraft or non-story Skyrim quests.

monitors are cheap
it does not need high refresh or even above 1080p to give lots of extra desktop space

but its nice to have matching displays, or just matching dpi/ppi so when you drag things across displays they do not change sizes

another good use is for twitch or discord chats
if you are streaming a 2nd and 3rd display is a must for obs and other things
