The "necessary" 5000 series.
announcement from the mega galactic director: it's time my dear subjects, make the new series, they will have to be twice as powerful and use PCIe 5.

engineer Bob: already with the 4000 series we have drilled all over the world to make them, the next components will not arrive so easily. there will be months of waiting. but maybe we capture some asteroids.

engineer Nik: But we'll make them bigger, the size of an entire PC, if the boss preferred, we could refuse to do mobo, we'll mount everything directly on the board.

engineer Bob: unfortunately not all cards get it right the first time. We are still there making 80, 70, 60 series, we are scarce... Even if bigger is better, perhaps we shouldn't go back to the dimensions of the first PCs.

engineer Nik: remind me who created the pcie 5, do we really need it? will make a fuss about installing the drives.

engineer Bob: I still see bios for ddr4 in beta, the boss just asked to realize maybe we can wait a few years. we did the work of 4 people for the 4000 series and I don't want to work for 5 right now. the boss doesn't give a salary increase.

announcement from the mega galactic director: my dear subjects, I'm tired of seeing the usual little lights reflected, do things big, get over Hollywood.

engineer Nik: We use all the AI we have. so we work less.

engineer Bob: If the boss finds out tomorrow we'll sleep under a bridge, we have to pretend it doesn't work so well.

engineer Nik: but come on, let's put in at least one function to make the only awaited game of the year enjoyable, with opponents driven by sentient bots.

engineer Bob: Grande Tesoro Atteso 6?, you might as well get out of the house and experience it.

engineer Nik: No, I mean Monster Hunter! and probably some will prefer the sentient whale to us.

engineer Bob: Finally!, after 5000 attempts, including, blue, red, black and yellow screens, the card works on the operating system.

engineer Nik: yes, we are improving, the problem now is the burning connectors, we already struggle to find the resources to create a board and the few we make end up roasted.

engineer Bob: It's our fault for not testing enough and letting the buyers find these problems, do you tell the boss that we prefer to buy from the competition?
Mabi 23 Feb @ 12:39pm
engineer Nik: well, we missed something slightly important along the way. useful for retrogaming.

engineer Bob: Nooooooo! , PhysX, calm down, don't panic!, we'll get it managed... the CPU will take care of it.

engineer Nik: but didn't we make cards to reduce the workload on the CPU?

engineer Bob: Heck, why didn't we put this in the drivers? , then you can install it again, just reinsert an old card and install the drives and then insert one of the new ones, something for idiots but it can be done.

engineer Nik: and nothing, let's keep it a secret and let the CPU work, no one likes retrogaming anyway.

engineer Bob: these are the real innovations!...

engineer Bob: mmm mmm, something doesn't add up with the O R P S counter. D'OOoohHH! ,GPU-Z can't lie so shamelessly, our fault here.

engineer Nik: on which model? Zotika?
Mabi 24 Feb @ 5:54am
engineer Bob: no, it's not my fault here, I guarantee, one of our top Astral exploded, caught fire, damaging a Hero mobo.

engineer Nik: try to be positive, it's not our fault, it's quality control's fault... I think. True?

. . . are you ok, dude?

thank goodness I stuck with the nvidia 2000 series, drivers from 572.16 onwards are a disaster.

meno male sono rimasto con la serie 2000 di nvidia, i driver dal 572.16 in poi sono un disastro.

E ora uso Amd. and now i use amd combo.

but didn't they immediately need the laptop with the 5000, did they want to immediately amplify the chaos?

Maybe this is the right time for Linux to save everything.
Even the countless series of winzoz/nvidia errors.

Definitely have zero interest in the latest gpus. Especially the whole ai frame gen thing, not even remotely interested in that compared to actual performance.

Before I could think of spending a lot on the video card, to have many special effects in just 4 unique annual titles that Microsoft (since it buys everything) could release, then I discovered that the commands that I use most on their systems today are Ctrl-Alt-Can, they don't tell you but they make you understand that you have to remove/deactivate every security and here it's ironic because they focus on security... to be able to update the system in a calm way, otherwise only infinite reboot loops.

Then I discover that the cards are not valid in modern titles and in older titles, in the dedicated mafia benchmark with a physx logo now we just laugh at the performance generated.

They sell a card that they pass off as top of the line to developers and say: now you can put the world in your title, objects on objects, effects on effects, if you are not good enough at optimizing or if they don't give you time to optimize, no problem, use frame generation.

Today it would be better to admit that Windows is a thing of the past, call it Azure OS right away, base it entirely on Linux and make it a real ReactorOs/Lindows.

In the end, it all boils down to one, how is it possible that since the arrival of ddr5 mobos for desktop hardware is suffering so much?

Intel continues to struggle and limp along.

Nvidia can no longer make suitable drives to make its rebrand/change of label for the cards work.

Microsoft tries to blame CROWDSTRIKE, but actually with 11 it forces a hardware change because it is slow, but I still have the am4 mobos in beta. If the ddr4 mobos are in beta... what should I think about the ddr5 mobos? If the hardware can't get in tune, like asrock with the latest amd processors that burn.
And windows doesn't work by default, let alone with hardware that is alien to it.

News found, copilot, every now and then based on an update it comes back or disappears, this is the work of months of microfost, ok, basically if it is present and if I ask copilot, how can I make the system work?, the answer is probably an activation code for 11 and a prayer.

You just want to understand the Amd miracle with also CachyOs, Manjaro, Bazzite. Which can handle this strange situation.

copilot, can you recreate windows so that it works?

Checking Intel and AMD stocks, it looks like Intel is doing better seeing that the past year AMD has only really been going down.
Youtubers might have favored AMD more but they still can't control the masses.

There where perhaps 3 drivers in a row that had the black screen issue. With the latest driver the problem was completely fixed for me.
This has been like several years with no problems with the drivers.

Win 11 wanted newer hardware than 7-8th Gen CPUs because they started to have features that Win11 wanted to support. It's not because it's slow. It's only slow if you throw it on the worst type of CPU+Harddrive you can find.

Windows work. It has always worked and will always work. What are you on about it not working by default?
