Linux games: mouse interferes with controller
I run Endeavour OS (an Arch derivate) under KDE and 1 screen under KDE Plasma.

Problem with many games (among them Clair Obscur: Expedition 33): the mouse interferes with the controller, its as if the game switches back and forth between controller and mouse.

Is there anything I can do to make the mouse interference go away?

Stop moving it or unplug it.

Not moving doesn't work - and yes, I was thinking about getting myself an USB-onoff-switch for the mouse.

Its odd behaviour, only one of my Linux kits exhibits that... and its a quite normal kit even.
Are you sure there are no vibrations? But yeah, a wireless one with an off switch might help.

or clean the mouse, it may have a hair or dust under the sensor making it move

Yes. And I turned the mouse off and even tried unplugging - same behaviour.

Hm... and there is no other input device involved, either.
Found the problem: my mouse jiggler.

USB plug in device which seems to "ping" KDE every few seconds or so even when turned off.

That was what interfered. Removed it (actually: plugged it into the docking station of the one laptop where I really use it) and now all is good.

Posting this for reference if someone encounters the same problem.
