Oh and do you guys think the GPU is alright for the price? I was about to buy the 4060 but it has only 8GB and my budget isn't that big

How much do you pay for it?
No FSR4 or DLSS is a shame and a strong argument for the 9060xt 16gb or an Nvidia card.

300 bucks. I mean im still fine with FSR3. Nvidia cards are too overpriced for my budget.

First i was thinking about the 4060 but everyone says its ♥♥♥♥ for the price, then i was thinking about buying the 3060 12GB but its an older card so no idea if its still worth it. Now after 4 days of research i found the RX 7600XT which has more VRAM than the 4060. The only downside is it doesn't have DLSS which you already said.

Any other ideas lol

I would personally recommend to stretch the budget and get the 9060XT 16GB.
FSR3 can be OK in some games but it’s often completely useless in other games.

9060XT 16 costs €369 on mindfactory.de.
It’s more expensive but 30% faster in raster and FSR4 is a big deal.
There is an app called „optiscaler” that let you use FSR4 in almost any game.

The question you should be asking, is what games do you want to play. Then grab a card that works for those games. I'm a budget gamer. I own just one game that even has RT, and honestly i don't miss it at all. Su per high FPS, is unless if your on a 120 hrz monitor. If your playing at 1080p verse 4k, ect..

Post some games you want to run, then people can give you much better advice on what card you should think about.

for example, i have a 1060 and was planing on picking up a 5060 16, but the thing is still working great at 1080p, for what i play, so i'm putting off a new build for at least another year, and probably two. It all comes down to what your playing, my newest most demanding game is midnight sun's and it runs great on my system. Being on a budget doesn't mean having to compromise, just be smart about what your building to play what you to play, Or just be willing to turn down graphics. The new trend of super high FPS is also quite odd. I even see people complaining about it on a visual novel which is quite humorous. RT on 4K is what you need a expensive vid card for.. 1080p, things can run on far less. The 4060 is a great 1080p card.

I play mostly older titles or indie games. But from time to time i wanna play new AAA titles like Stellar blade or the upcoming dying light. I got a 2060 6GB and it struggels a lot to run new games especially if the game uses unreal engine 5. I dont really care about 4k or highest settings ingame cuz i own a 1080p screen and i prefer performance over graphics.

So sounds like the 4060 is good enough for 1080p 144hz gaming? I do play a lot of singleplayer games like Yakuza, RDR2, Persona etc. But is i said i wanna play some new upcoming games aswell

I have a 4060 ti 8gb in a 1080p 120hz system. It's at 100% load most of the time with Fallout 76 and Manor Lords (UE5). 90-120 fps high settings. If you can afford it I'd go in the 4070 ti area.

I have RDR2 but it's not installed at the moment. This reddit post says 40 fps with a 4060 at 1440p. Sounds correct.

8gb vram in 2025 is not viable for 1080p

So a friend of mine is gonna sell me his new 4060ti for 300 euro. He only used it for a month. I can't be more happy than that lol. I was about to buy the 4060, but if he sells even the better version for the same price then im gonna go for it ofc.

Im playing on 1080p and even my RTX 2060 can handle RDR2 on mid / high settings +60 fps. I think something ain't right with this build.

just look up both the case and model of gpu online. it isn’t that hard to learn reading the stats

Cases when viewed on the makers site should easily provide information for video card max length. 7600 or 9060 are low end cards. Their not long so I don't see howthey be of any issues
hawkeye 27 Jun @ 6:42pm
Gamers Nexus youtube has case reviews. I prefer larger, less cluttered cases as the extra space makes cable management easier and airflow more efficient.. Also toms hardware -

https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-pc-cases,4183.html

The main thing is making sure the cooler height (if a big one) and gpu length will fit. Coolers manufacturers have height charts online.

Regarding a 4060ti note that there are 8gb and 16gb versions.
Monk 27 Jun @ 6:48pm
I think you should make do a bit longer and save up for a 9060xt or a 5060 ti 16GB, buying a card you'll likely keep for the next 2 or 3 generations and going without tech thst is becoming more and more precedent seems like it will bite you in your behind sooner rather than later, alternatively, look for a second hand 4070 perhaps.
Haruspex 27 Jun @ 7:21pm
If you look at the specs for that case, you can fit a GPU up to 420mm in length. I don't know which version of that GPU you are using, but if it's the Gigabyte 3 fan model, that's about 281mm. You should have plenty of space. Even a massive chonker of a card with an RTX 5090 is still 304mm. I don't think there's a card on the market that case can't fit.
