Nothing wrong with linux. Hyperbole about windows is not a very good argument for linux.

So, do you need the definition of 'hyperbole"?

Or do you think I accidentally used it correctly?

I used alternating caps so you would know I know what a joke is.

I would make the switch, only if the Anti Cheat system is approved for Linux users.

Other than that, Windows for now.

Only reason why it hasn't is because Linux doesn't allow Windows kernel-level anti-cheats to run as a regular userspace which lacks the privileges to be an effective anti-cheat, and rather than make a version that works with Linux, they often choose to just block other operating systems entirely by going after compatibility layers like Wine

We know it can be done though, halo MCC and halo infinite have it enabled and working for linux, I am really tempted to switch but some games will not work, as soon as anti cheat work and EA stop being idiots then ill be done with windows forever.

It's money that a lot of devs and publishers don't want to spend for an OS which has less than 5% of the market share worldwide

But if they did support it the market share of linux would go from 5% to over 40% overnight. Something needs to change as windows is becoming more and more anti consumer and overweight.

It wouldn't jump that quickly, it would take upwards of a year at least for that much of a jump and it would have to be something a lot more significant of a change than just anti-cheat support problems going away which is not going to happen anytime soon.

Microsoft would basically have to nuke their own platform.
