7900 XTX or if you want better RT, RTX 5080 / 4090.

You may also want to look at the RX 9070 XT. It is slightly worse than the 5070 Ti in rasterized tests, but it can be cheaper.

5070ti is 830 the cheapest on newegg right now. 700 bucks for a rx 9070 xt as well... maybe the asrock challenger non xt version is back it was selling for 600 bucks.

If you need something else you can combo with the pc part picker on newegg and get 120 dollars off a msi inspire 5070 ti model that sell for 810 bucks after that discount, that's what I got a few weeks back.

Just combo it with memory, ssd or whatever you need. If not well just get what you can afford. All your three options are viable at those prices. Pay the nvidia tax or get the cheaper alternatives.

Would wait until the next batch of gpu release later this year or early next year. 3080 isn't bad. Should be much better gpus in terms of vram.

More vram
Better efficiency
Better rt
Better raster
Mfg

I wouldn't buy a 5080 until you plan to get a 375w model and oc it because with oc a 5080 comes close to stock 4090 performance. Similarly a 5070ti oc comes close to 5080 stock performance

I would also avoid AMD since drivers and cooling solution still remain a problem but in the end the choice is yours

Figure out how much GPU power you need in order to achieve your Target Resolution and Framerate.

Then take the Price of the GPU you are looking at and divide it by the amount of Time that you intend to use it before upgrading again.

That final number is your Cost. So e.g. if a GPU is $1000 total, and you use it for 3 years (36 months), that GPU cost you $27.78 per month.

It's literally that simple. If you can afford that, and you need it to achieve your gaming goals, it's all good.

It's the difference between Price and Cost that most people don't understand.
Anything below a 5080 doesn't make any sense if you're coming from a 3080.......

Thats correct --- unless a person just increased his Display Resolution, Target Framerate, etc.
your current gpu should still work well for a while longer. i have 2080 ti and it is stronger than that. i am not having any issues myself.

Hello! I also have a 2080 Ti, but I was forced out of serious gaming for the past 3 or 4 years.

Can you give me an idea of the most demanding games that run well on your 2080 Ti? Do you output at 4K or a lower resolution?

I replaced my 3080 with a 5090. I got it to max everything out on 4K.

At what minimum framerate?

For the most demanding games it’s well over 100fps. Cyberpunk barely hits 100; with frame generation it’s over 140.

is it worth or not depends on you
the 5070Ti will have a solid uplift in performance over the 3080, have way more VRAM and also RT performance will be noticeably better + access to frame generation

There should be no problems pairing a 5070Ti on a PCIe 4.0 motherboard. you might lose a very small amount of performance (single digit number in terms of percents) but nothing to write home about

If your 3080 10GB isn't satisfying your needs then by all means, go for it as it is a solid upgrade but if you are happy with the performance you are getting with your card today then you might want to wait more towards the Super releases

Most things have already been said in this thread and I agree with them. The RTX 5070TI is the bare minimum you should buy if you're coming from an RTX 3080. I just want to inject that there are rumors that the RTX 50XX Super models might be around the corner. They are supposedly going to be a bit faster (no ♥♥♥♥) and offer more VRAM. This could lead to lower prices for current models.
