Glass doesn't just crack on it's own, Does your country get very hot or very cold?

Steam Deck comes with a 1 year warranty so if you've only just got it contact support. But you may have to explain why the display is cracked.

Yea that's not normal; you some how allowed the device to get too hot or too cold rather quickly and this caused it.

You can speak with Steam Support and submit a ticket via your Steam Account. Most likely will be easier to do that via a Desktop or Laptop PC rather then a phone or on the Deck itself.

I live in NYC and we have had record hot times here recently but otherwise that’s all I can think of. :/ I’ll contact them and see if anything can be done otherwise I’ll just accept it as is.

And if something like your phone, tablet, hand-held device does get too hot, power it off and move it to a cooler place to cool down. However DO NOT go and apply cold to it quickly, such as put it right where cold air can blow right on it; like the AC vent in your car or something similar as that could cause problems, or condensation build-up to occur inside the device, etc. Something with a cooling fan like Deck or a Laptop; simply leave it running so the fans keep working, and just close everything out, log out if needed to more easily do that. Then let the device cool down.
