Hey guys I downloaded windows on my deck and it works great except I can’t get the speakers to work, I tried downloading the drivers from the steam windows support page and tried installing manually but didn’t work either, how do I fix it

Not sure why you would cripple your machine with that crap, but did you install the right packages for your model?

The OLED model needs one additional package that the LCD version doesn't.

well some games like gtav cant run on linux cuz the anti cheat software so you windows on the deck for those games
Which model SteamDeck do you have? LCD version or the OLED version?

Chances are you have the OLED version and didn’t install the driver for the amplifier chip and/or you installed the audio driver for the LCD version audio chip.

No. GTAV can't run because R* are arbitrary douchebags who hate their customers.

nah gtav can run fine on windows, no issues here
I switched because I wanted to emulate and the file system is trash on Linux and half the games don’t work like anti cheats and it so much easier to have everything on windows its way easier to set things up I don’t need separate launchers like heroic or something and when I save a file I don’t need to spend a half hour looking for it, it works great the battery isn’t as good but besides that I would have any reason to switch back, there is big picture mode, windows has a touch screen keyboard and I installed atlas os so it’s only the essentials for windows 11, the only things that don't work are the speakers and the screen goes blue when I try to shut it Down
