ic and pcb/devices are not the same thing

ic is one component
there are many others to make the devices

wifi/5b/bt mean nothing on their own
thats just the communication method

wifi nic or router are devices that have ic components in them
same for bt

5g can mean multiple things, wifi freq, or cell service signal generation, are just a few

and ics were first produced in the late 60's and early 70's, 50+ year old tech is not exactly 'modern'
