Instant capture recording my second monitor (sometimes)

So while gaming on my main monitor sometimes Nvidia captures my second monitor because there is a video playing or paused on my second monitor (paused most of the time)

How do I set it to capture only my main monitor?

Sounds like your main monitor is not set as main monitor in windows itself.
Check that one in the display settings in your NVIDIA control panel > "Set up multiple Displays" and right click the display you want to set up as your main monitor and check it.
