Finally built it!!!

And got called away to work again! Bummed but they paid me a bonus I could not pass up to leave again so soon and I will hopefully be home by midweek.

However I did finally build it, 9800x3d, 7900xt, MSI Pro x870-p mobo. For being 10 years since I last built it went well. So much less case clutter without optical drives and hard drives and the power cables that go with them.

Just got windows installed and updated when I got called to leave so did not get to even benchmark it. Oh well a few more days won't kill me.

I paid $8.75 for a windows 11 pro key lol. For now it's still the best gaming platform.

the 7900 xtx would be stronger and only slightly more expensive.

I bought it back a few months ago during the GPU shortage as it was all I could find at a reasonable price. Then I got sent on an extended work trip and just got back to assemble it.

Edit: when I bought it 7900xtxs were going for 1100+ even 7800xt's were going for 700+ so when I found the 7900xt for $650 I snagged it. Obviously I wish I had waited but it's still plenty for me.
