Building a New PC
My current PC is almost 9 years old. Thinking its time to build a new PC.

I've narrowed down the CPU to the 7800X3D. Having trouble deciding on a video card. Any recommendations?

Budget? Monitor?
Why not wait a little bit more and step into late gen AM5 or even try to stretch it out to AM6 which is not too far off.
I'm using an Alienware ultrawide monitor

Budgeting around $2500

It started cause of the whole win 10 support ending this fall. Wanted to upgrade before then. Use my PC for work as well and will definitely need win 11. Current PC can't run it.
with your budget you can get a 9800x3d and a 5080

So sorry I should have specified in Canada so the budget was in CAD not USD. So its closer to ~$1800 USD. Thanks for this though, its actually not too far off and something I might go with instead!

then a 9800x3d and a 5070ti would still work and leave you enough for taxes.

So are you saying for a new GPU upgrading from 9 years ago he should hunt down a secondhand 4080 Super, makes no sense.
As a 9800X3d and 5080 owner, it's the best setup Ive ever built and used. You'd be happier with the 9800 than 7800 imo
