CPU temps to hot?
I have a I9-13900 CPU on some game (at full graphics & frames) the CPU can be around 88 up with peaks of 94degrees. Is it to hot?. This wa in Baldurs Gate 3 for example. Obvious this game does not need high frames. So when limiting the frames 80-120. the CPU runs beween 70-85 desgrees depending on frames and room temperature.

Wellnyea, limit the FPS

Tweakbthe CPU better in the bios, such as under volt it for example

What Case and CPU cooler you have?
How many Case fans and where installed?

I have had my CPU run at a steady 100C before and it's still working just fine, so... IDK, personal preference.

On harder hitting games my CPU runs around ~90C.
Mid 80s is fine, but a little to warm for me.

I think I heard that BG3 is heavy on the CPU. I can't really offer much help other than undervolting the CPU, reapplying thermal paste, lower graphical settings, get a cooling pad (if on laptop), and turn the air condition on.
is it to hot? no
is it hot, yeah but it's within range of not having to worry about it.

Personally i would still replace the thermal paste and see how much that helps.
i know these cpus run quite hot because of the amount of power they draw so it's normal for them to be hot.

Regardless the cpu will shut itself off before it damages itself and the "degradation" of it running that hot for long periods of time is pretty negligible.

as long as the cpu is not throttling its not too hot
if your using a air cooler then its somewhat normal.any high end cpu be it AMD or Intel you should be using a 360 AIO.if its a laptop then you get what you paid for a HOTPLATE !!!

360mm, lmfao, 420mm or nothing baby, and a custom loop.
Do you run your pc on the motherboard default settings or Intel default settings? If you didn’t change it to Intel default, that is what is expected. Do not run your pc on motherboard manufacturers default power and thermal settings, use your CPU manufacturer recommended or prebuilt profile, be it Intel or AMD… there is that guy on YouTube was also telling about this idk what his name or his channel name is, but I listened to him and changed my power settings to Intel prebuilt profile and my power consumption and heat decreased a bit. Motherboard manufacturers tend to set limits high to sell their stuffs, I learned this the hard way. And AIO and air cooler makes no difference, ignore that as a whole.
Defaults (auto) for CPU voltages and off-sets often would have the CPU running hotter. Can easily get ir running cooler by properly tweaking these settings in BIOS
it looks like you need a better cooler. not that that is surprising to me. the i9 series is a beast. a beast of a cpu needs a beast of a cooler.i am unfortunately not the expert on coolers. all i know is that your current cooler is too weak.

No it's normal temps for an air cooler
