Reset to device, \Device\RaidPort1, was issued.
Hey,

I just had my system almost completely freeze, I had to force shutdown and reboot.

Seems this error is due to a faulty SSD, but mine is only 2 years old.

I'll start by posting the whole rig:

Case: Fractal Design Pop Silent Solid (Black)
Motherboard: ASUS Prime Z790-A Wifi
CPU: Intel Core I7-127000KF (3.6ghz / 5ghz)
Cooler: Noctua NH-U12A Chromax Black
RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 32gb 5200mz CL40 - Black
SSD: Kingston SSD NV2 1tb
PSU: MSI MPG A850G PCIE5
GPU: Asus TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 TI OC Edition 12gb

With what I found on Google it seems that my SSD is dying, but I'm not sure why. I only install games, sometimes big games, but that's it.

"Reset to device, \Device\RaidPort1, was issued." was spammed in my Event Viewer. And it started exactly when my system began freezing.

So, can this be a software error of some kind, or is my SSD toast?

Thanks for reading and for your replies.

Edit: Also this error was spammed with various files:

"svchost (5112,D,50) SRUJet: A request to write to the file "C:\Windows\system32\SRU\SRUDB.dat" at offset 0 (0x0000000000000000) for 4096 (0x00001000) bytes succeeded, but took an abnormally long time (20 seconds) to be serviced by the OS. This problem is likely due to faulty hardware. Please contact your hardware vendor for further assistance diagnosing the problem."

So yeah, probably a dying SSD yes?

Edit 2:

Just downloaded the app to monitor the SSD health and it says it's fine.

I'm at a loss here, what could have caused this?

Here's the screenshot of the app in question:

Buy good quality SSDs

Which means never that brand.

Did you do a health check on the drive with CrystalDiskInfo?

Did you install proper and official chipset drivers?

Why is it set to RAID? Should just be set to AHCI

You have OS, games and everything all on one drive l? Never do that

Didn't know it was a bad brand, I posted a health check with the official app, isn't it the same?

No firmware available for that drive according to the app.
