Will 8BitDo Ultimate 2 BT gyro work via 2.4G connection?

I'm considering upgrading from my Ultimate 2C to an Ultimate 2 BT for PC and Switch, but the Ultimate 2 BT can be connected using a 2.4G connection with either the adapter or the charging dock. But if I do connect the Ultimate 2 BT to my PC using the 2.4G connection, will Steam still read the controller a Switch Pro Controller and I'll be able to use gyro still, or is it only gonna be the case via wired connection? Also does the Ultimate 2 BT have Steam Input support yet or only the Ultimate 2 Wireless/PC version? That version I could consider but I want a controller that works on both platforms.

It comes with a USB dongle for when using the 2.4Ghz Mode; which is the ideal way to use it on any PC. BT is more for Mobile devices and SMART TVs. You switch modes via toggle switch on the back of controller. The Dock is just for charging. When you receive the product open the bottom of the dock and the usb dognle is inside for safe keeping.

I can't be 100% sure about Gyro in most games since WinOS and Steam do not exactly have good support for it. In a game such as latest Microsoft Flight Sim and GTA5 it should work though.

The gyro can work on any game if you use Steam Input.
