My Xbox Series S controller had been working for months now on Ubuntu but for whatever reason now even though the power is on it just decided it doesn't want to connect via bluetooth properly this morning. Just... out of the blue decides it doesn't want to connect.

Sony adding some basic compatibility for PS5 controllers on Linux to the Linux kernel.

Even on a good day when my Xbox controller has been working on Linux, I have found some little annoyances about it. Like, for example, I have to connect it to some Windows laptop periodically for firmware updates... and I can't do this on Ubuntu/Linux.

Does this mean the PS5 controller is better for Linux now than the Xbox Series S controller since it has official compatibility (if not support) from Sony for Linux?

Or if you think there's a better controller I should consider let me know in the comments....
