RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB or better.
RX 9060 XT 16 GB or better.
Can also raise RAM to 32 GB and swap CPU to Ryzen 7 5700X3D but new graphics card is priority.
that cpu is totally fine for even modern AAA multiplayer games
you could get another 16gb of ram totalling 32gb if you want (though you don't have to)
a gpu upgrade is your best option.
but again it depends on how much you are willing to spend.
My upgrade path is always to retire full custom built systems and just rebuild from scratch a new PC generation while either giving the old one away (preferably someone in need such as a poor student), selling the rig (which could be hard), or using it as a server, for media, or creative suites.
You DO, however, want to get in on either the end game (or near end game) of Ryzen AM5 or AM6 which is due around 2026-2028 (I cannot recommend Intel at this moment in time even though I am part owner).
And by NO MEANS, should you stay on AM4 as even the best and latest AM4 systems are incomparable to AM5 (I use the R9 5950x as my former CPU had a Linux compilation issue which had an RMA I had not known about until it was too late) but you are correct to choose the x series of Ryzen (some x3D's are good too but I am a fan of the x series myself).
Perhaps the real question is about your MOBO and if it is a PCIe3 or 4 generation but even still, personally I would NOT do any major, costly upgrades for AM4 (I got my new CPU for $150 brand new so the price was spot-on but besides fixing Linux, I see no true difference between that older R7 1800x).
If you do not have the money to waste, please just build a new rig for AM5 and forget about AM4 but my advice seeing how AM4 ended, would be to built either on the end game of AM5 or adopt AM6 but first adoption can turn out sour (as I have also witnessed).
Personally, after seeing first adoption MOBO's taking close to 3 years to stabilize, I am more of a fan of building on a new CPU architecture's end game then adopting first.
If you do have the money to waste, upgrade to your hearts content but heed my warnings.
What is your budget for upgrades?

If you have 600W PSU with two 6+2 pin connectors and can fit 289mm long card. Pretty sweet deal at Overclockers UK.
Alternative option with weaker GPU:

Or stick it all on a RTX 5070 or that RX 9070 above for £500 is a bargain.
Like said though post what PSU you have as that might need replacing also, best to list motherboard too.
don't do other parts unless there is a problem
you do need to identify the psu model and monitor resolution and connection type (just in case it's dvi-dl), plus whether it's a prebuilt
cpu is ok
memory is ok
