MSI is "giving away" M2 drives with some GPUs
Hi,

I'm guessing availably will vary, but at least in amazon.es MSI is bundling MSI SPATIUM M470 1TB drives with GPUs. In fact, the same 5060 that is going for 325 euros at amazon.es is at 320 with the drive included (delivery in a couple of weeks). There is another deal for the 5070+drive.
So, just in case someone is looking for a GPU, check if this bundle is available to you. Might be a good deal.
The drives look nice, however some users have complained about excessive heat.

It's a great deal yes but the " game choices " with such a card will be very limited.

8GB is too low for todays standards, no wonder they give it away for free.

Most of todays games allready need 8GB when maxed out, if not around 9GB.

FUN FACT: RTX 3080 10 GB is exactly what you need to play literally all games maxed out and modded apart of some exceptions.

2GB make a huge difference.

I just bought a 5060 (hasn't arrived yet) and it's more than enough for me. Didn't go for the amazon deal as I got a similar (slightly worse) deal at a local shop and the reviews on the SSD aren't amazing (they are good, but not amazing). It would be my primary drive, so went for something else. Still think it's a good deal and a lot of people are happy with the drive.
I don't need to play the latest games at max settings. I would love to, but there are plenty of games to play without spending a tonne of money on the computer. Besides, the newest games are getting crazy expensive.
The 3080 10GB is about twice the price of the 5060, but to each, it's own.
Welcome to the hardware forum where people go on rambling about nothing without asking relevant questions like:
- what do you plan to play or do with your 5060?

Most people here just blindly recommend hardware without asking any questions.

Honestly... nothing really in particular.
I have an xbox series S and had gamepass until recently and that was my main gaming platform for "nice looking games". But I decided to part ways with that due to the recent price hike. I used PC for lower end games and it's just fine.

The 2 games I play firmly right now on PC:
Rimworld and Fallout 4. Rimworld is getting a bit slow with the new DLC, so hence the new CPU. The GPU is to freshen up the system. Obviously Fallout 4 is 10 years old but should be smoother now...lol. Honestly, runs just fine with the current setup (need to turn off some little graphics things, but nothing major). Kiddo plays Sims 4 and Roblox... lol.
Rimworld runs just about on a potatoe, but end game with lots of pawns and mods, my CPU just wasn't cutting it.

As for new games, I think the only one I can think of is Expedition 33, if I find a nice deal for it. From the specs I probably won't be able to play with full graphics, but that is fine. I have a bunch of the Metro and Saints Row games (got some of those ridiculous cheap saless) and from there... I will play whatever goes. Maybe mod the hell out of State of Decay 2 and have another go at it.

I'm still waiting for Cities Skylines 2 to be decent.... as in never, but loved the first one.

Honestly I went for the "price". I had a lower goal but after some back and forth I decided up the budget the upgrade and choose what I thought gave me the best performance for that money. I think I will be very well served with the RTX 5060 + Ryzen 7 5700X. Anyway, it's ordered now so no turning back :D
I will be able to play a lot more than before. If some games I can't play... well. You can't have everything.

Right settings and res, bit of DLSS maybe some 2x frame gen if supported you can make any game out right now look and play decent on that rig.
I will say going of your other post looking at your motherboard with no VRM heat sinks whatsoever I advise getting the best air flow you can through the case and over the VRM the best you can, even though the 5700X is 65W it can go up to 130W in use and average draw is 70/80W, if you do find it crashes there is a chance you will need a better motherboard.

You could make it a bit better yourself.

Thanks.
Case is actually pretty good with lots of fans. The CPU fan is a Deepcool gammax V4 that is also pretty good. I had a "free" 1TB MSI M2 drive on a deal at amazon but decided against it as a few users are reporting higher temperatures on those drives. The one I got doesn't have a heatsink but I guess it's cheap enough to get one.
I guess I better monitor temps for a while, but I don't expect anything too crazy. If that happens, I'll just do this:

i am sorry for people who declare war on countries, they do not live in.

:-/

these m.2 ssd are cheap in production, because them are so small. it is time for making money for concerns that have machines for products in IT who make cheap computers run like hell.
pardon me and do not ask me if i am stoopid. no one is.
have a nice day...and believe that i am kind enough to tell my truth.
sorry, people.
